Dealer or no Dealer?

The question still remains, do I have to take my car back to the dealer to maintain my warranty, the simple answer is NO!  But what must I do to make sure my warranty remains in effect?  The answer to that question is easy.  There are very specific guide lines the manufacture sets up for you to follow through a mileage maintenance schedule that you receive when you first purchase your vehicle.  Following these guide lines and keep documentation of the repairs that are done your warranty will remain valid.  This will allow you to take your car to a shop of your choosing, but as a consumer you will want to make sure that you are receiving a detailed list of what is being done and records that accommodate your vehicle, such as the type of oil, part numbers for oil filter or air filters and most of all mileage must be recorded with every service provided.  By performing these services and keeping your documentation your warranty will be upheld and you will not have to feel that a dealer is your only alternative until your warranty runs out.
